Red Rug Productions is currently operating as a focused creative team led by Sina Bowyer with producer Richie Campbell and Assistant Producer, Kaara Benstead. Our first major collaboration intended as a potential UK co-production in partnership with Welsh production stakeholders and Film Cymru Wales.

Richie Campbell is a British actor and producer known for roles in Top Boy, Liar and Small Axe. He is currently filming the sixth season of Grace, with production expected to run for much of the year.

Alongside acting, Campbell is developing and producing independent film projects, bringing production knowledge and industry relationships to emerging packages.

For Fornication Under Consent of the King, Campbell is attached as co-producer and is also expected to appear in a cameo role. His involvement supports the project’s market positioning and ongoing discussions with cast, sales and financing partners.

Richie is also developing Wild Fruit with Sina as a potential co-production to be shot in Asia. He is being considered for the role of DJ Sami, with a recognised Indian director connected to the project and interested in directing, subject to stakeholder alignment.

Sina Bowyer is a London-based screenwriter, producer and CEO of Red Rug Productions. She completed an MA in Screenwriting at Royal Holloway and trained with Hollywood coach and producer Hal Croasmun via the Screenwriting ProSeries in LA, focusing on high-concept storytelling and commercial screenplay structure.

Sina wrote and produced the eco-thriller Crude, which won Best Foreign Featurette at the Idyllwild Festival and screened at the Marché in Cannes, showing at 15 international film festivals. She was executive producer on fantasy thriller Through the Mirror Darkly. Her script White Royal was selected for Production Value Lab in Holland, which led to a scriptwriting hire. Sina has worked on music videos, script supervision and pitches for Channel 4's Random Acts.

Sina is also trained in hypnotherapy, which supports film-making/performance through the power of language, myth, archetypes and the hero’s journey in storytelling.

Kaara Benstead is an actress, producer, director and founder of Gingerstripes Productions. She trained for seven years at the Anna Scher Theatre, developing a strong grounding in performance, character work and collaborative theatre making.

Her screen credits include You Never Know, One Day You Too Might Become a Refugee, Out of The Blue, Champion of the World and Hope and Glory, alongside theatre productions at venues including Omnibus Theatre, Theatro Technis and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

For Fornication Under Consent of the King, Benstead is supporting Sina Bowyer and Richie Campbell across production logistics, relationship building and talent outreach, while also expected to appear in a supporting role. Known as a strong networker and practical problem solver, she plays an active role in the project’s ongoing packaging and development.
